Inspection I - does the engine need to be stone cold?
Sorry for posting in the wrong section but I am popping to Bartletts tomorrow for an Inspection I and have just realised that the engine may need to be cold.
I suppose the first question is do they check the valve clearances on an Insp I ??? If they do I will need my brother to pick me up tonight when I drop her off. Otherwise I will drop her tomorrow. Bartletts did not say anything although I was unsure on whether it was due an Insp I or Insp II. I have since checked the service book and found it is only due the Inspection I. Anyone know what they charge? I forgot to ask. Bugger.... lastminute.com Pip |

Thanks for that. To err on the side of caution I dropped her off and then got the train ftom Huntingdon to Peterborough and then tabbed the five miles or so to my brother's in Yaxley. Just got in. Not ideal but my brother was too tired to give me a lift.
Hey ho, at least if there is a next time, I will remember that she needs to be cold. Note to Bartletts...... Pip |
