Default Incoming....80s style

It's no clk black, but needed an urban shopper that can be parked on the street in the wilds of East LDN. Needed DSG for the missus who prefers auto.

Cheapest dealer 2012 model I could find and its absolutely mint mint. Not a mark on it. Drove well.....nippy motor...not spine snapping but enough.

Originally wanted the 18" monzas and a black / grey car but I think silver on 17" wheels looks subtle. Pick up next Sat. V excited

I had one of these when they came out in 09, it was a great car.

I've still got one of these and it is a very good car.

I had mine remapped by Bluefin which was definitely worth doing as it felt a bit underpowered at the top end.

Mine likes to use oil and coolant, and I understand that's quite common, so keep an eye on that.

Thx for the tip Pete. Yours is DSG ?

Have a 3 yr warranty on it so not too worried but there are some forum nay Sayers on DSG reliability.

I was genuinely surprised at its agility - I thought these had become a bit lardy.

Yep, mine's a DSG, which I really like. I would always want to have a manual car on the drive for fun, but as a day to day car the DSG is brilliant and allows for rapid progress.

I've had mine for 5 years and 60k miles now and haven't had any DSG problems.
I'd quite like to change it but with the extra bhp from the remap there isn't much else that is different enough to make it worth it and that isn't another £20k on top (S3, RS3, Golf R etc).

My dailies are this and a Discovery and I've never had two such accomplished cars for family use.

Slightly offtopic, but how does the DSG compare to the SMG2 in terms of shifting speed?

Seamless and immediate.

But no clunk / shove. Very quiet.

Had to check rev counter to see the change.
