Question Braille Battery Charge ?

Hey everyone,

I just got back from an Italian Road trip and decided to take the Z4 Coupé for the trip so the CSL was sleeping for 10 days connected to a Black&Decker trickle charger.
Today, I decided to take her for a spin but battery was dead although connected to charger. Is this normal ? I know they don't last as long as OEM battery without a charger but even losing power with a charger was dissapoonting.
Does Braille batteries have a different system to charge or am I doing something wrong ?

Thanks,

Hi,

Don't have a lithium battery yet, i am still using that old fat heavy thing that came with the car . But from what i've gathered you need to use a special lithium charger.

Not sure if your Black & Decker is for lithium batteries?
If it is, and your battery is still dead.. then i am lost.

I use an Oxford Maximiser battery conditioner on mine and it's been fine for the couple of months I've had it fitted.

Mine has 3 settings, Motorbike, Caravan & Car. I just leave it on Car and it works away in the background.

I think I found the reason for the problem. Accidentally I left the setting at 6V instead of 12V on the charger
Switched back to 12v after a drive, will check next week if it works.

Snap! I did the same earlier this year and had to buy another charger...

I now wrap the old crocodile clips onto the steering wheel to remind me to disconnect the new charger before setting off, lol!

That's why I use the sig. lighter to charge rather than cables on the battery.
