Default Warm derriere . . .

I noticed after driving the car for about 50 mins last night that its rear end was warm - including the bumper, main body and boot lid.

Wasn't driving too maniacally and had been in a bit of standing traffic on the M60. Was in Track Mode with a mix of manual & auto bursts.

Is this a concern? Exhaust heat dissipating?

I have a Supersprint back-box and the boot floor gets very warm with that. So much so that I put coats in the boot on long journeys in the winter to pre-warm them at the other end and avoid putting chilled gods from the shops in the boot for the same reason LOL.

Rick, Everything's a concern with these f***ing car's, you should know that by now!!!!

PS just check your discs, diff etc for any unusual heat. Mine gets f***ing hot as well, I used to think it was normal but now it's sleepless nights until you and others post spurious explanations each more far fetched until we all reach a consensus it's perfectly normal.

Yep, boot on my car gets warm after a long run as well. I think it's the backbox too. If I ever take off the backbox, I'll probably put some Zircoflex on the top of it, to prevent the heat from soaking through.

I think its a fairly recent diff - no noise from it.
