Default Road Trip to Italy ?

Hello everyone,

As every summer, me and mrs. would like to have a Euro Road Trip. This year again with the CSL. We decided to discover the southern parts of Italy this year.
We've been to Italy's major cities like Milan, Rome,Firenze Venice etc. but never truly saw the scenic and cultural parts of this beautiful country.
We are planning to see the pretty coastal towns like portofino, cinque terre, positano, amalfi and capri. and possibly some spontaneous locations in between.

I have a few questions for those of you with Italian vacation experiences.

Is it worth taking the CSL ? I mean are there beautiful scenic roads which would be an event in itself or we might rent a small convertible and cruise along ?

Is it safe to take the CSL ? I know some cities like Naples have bad rep for theft but could it be said for the rest of the country ? I will try to find hotels with private parking but in case I don't, would I loose my sleep over it ?

Is it physically safe for the CSL ? I mean, unpaved and potholes all around village roads or its all civilized like France ?

Where else would you recommend me to stop by or stay ? Our duration of the trip will be around 12 days.

Lastly, what is the most comfortable setting of the KW Clubsports ? Everything turned to softest ? or halfway between ? Usually when I am off the track, I keep it 5 clicks loose on everything from ring dry setting.

Sorry for so many questions but any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
