Default WarrantyWise anyone?

Hi All,

Anyone had any recent dealings with WarrantyWise? My 520 up and died inexpectedly so time for a new daily and the garage offers WW. I found a few threads, a chap from Edinburgh says they're great (which is odd since he hadn't made a claim) but Shane says they've knocked back genuine claims in his experience.

While we're at it - the car's an Audi A6 3.0 TFSI. Not a popular choice given its a petrol motor but looks to be a good machine. Anyone any experience of these?

It's here:

Worth reading this: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=662135 before you spend your hard earned on a VAG TFSI engine as they suffer from excessive carbon build up and need to be decoked

WISE TO AVOID !!!!

I had warranty wise 'cover' as part of my wife's old A2 (Petrol 1.6 FSI) and it was a complete joke when it came to an issue with the inlet system / plenum servo arm and EGR valve (common failure on A2s and requires 8 hrs work).

If you can't get a main dealer warranty owing to age etc.. put your money to one side for as and when...

Best

I had a warranty with them and it was nothing but hassle, most of the repairs I ended up covering myself.

Have to agree with Johnathan "wise to avoid"
