Elms i8 yesterday
Dropped into Elms yesterday to check out the new i8 and the M4, and to book the CSL in for it's next inspection with Emma.
The i8 has some nice styling going on, albeit a bit plasticy. Some funky areodynamics on the rear wings, and I was amazed how light the doors were. You really have to climb in and out of it...quite a nice driving position. Rear end isn't great. For £100k...I'm not so sure. True, your getting 140mpg, but who burns £100k on this and is worried about fuel economy . In the end, it was the M4 that did it for me. The cabin's a nice place to be, and I really liked the mean styling externally . Anyways, Here's some crappy camera phone photo... And the M4... Also, seen a nice SB with red APs leaving just before me...anyone on here? Paddy |

Nice pics. Nearly went.
Best description of the i8 rear is that it looks like it's trying to shit out a 991 !! |

So avant garde, and yet so practical ( do find the doors a bit challenging for a daily)

i8 looks gash - eco sports cars leave me cold. What's the point? If you're bothered about the environment, buy something else to drive every day in the awful traffic and get yourself a road burner for the weekend and track days.
But the M4..nice, in black or grey, some nice BMW racing seats, better wheels (obviously), maybe some lightweight features, limited edition run, etc. I'd place my order tomorrow. |
