Valuatiuon from BMW Car Club UK
Hi gents and CSLGIRL,
I am sure a few of you are in this boat. I need to get a valuation sorted for insurance purposes. I was going to try the BMW car club UK, who look to do valuations for a fee. Has anyone had any recent experience with them? With prices on the rise, I am interested to hear if they provided a high enough valuation (and not based on glasses guide or whatever). Hexagon prices are 15k above what I brought the car for , and CSLR/ PH prices seem to be around 5-8k higher, so really just interested in getting a fair valuation to allow quick 1:1 replacement without 12months of searching in the event that the car would be written off. |

Complete Service History, low number of owners/keepers and mileage, seem to be the key factors in getting a good price.
As we are all aware prices have risen substantially in the last 12 months, what would have cost £24K back then will now cost £32K so I would suggest a realistic value would be to add 6K to whatever you paid for it. Hexagon prices are ridiculous, NJ's prices are commensurate with the market, with ML slightly less from memory.

Thanks Neil, yes agree with you 100%.
Question to the forum is if the BMW Car Club UK (or similar) are acknowledging this recent hike in price, and issuing their valuation certificates accordingly. I can of course just pick up the phone and try them, but since this will involve membership fee + valuation fee (to the tune of a tank of fuel!), and me being the tightarse I am, I thought I'd first ask and see if someone has tried this route already in say, the past 6 months. |

I very much doubt you will get anything out of the BMWCC without becoming a member at the very least.
As 'Jon8710' has suggested give ML a try first, they are a reputable and widely recognised company having dealt with the Marque in all its many guises over many years.

Jon, did you have to take the car in to ML, or were photos OK? It's a good suggestion, as my car was actually retailed by them in the past, so they have some record of it.
I only got the idea of BMWCC as the insurance company suggested them. ML def a better idea, will give them a bell. Cheers all |

I think Monkey said recently that ("Bad news at ELMs" thread) he was leaving if not already gone.
