Default Highlight ~ lowlight at Northloop 2013

Simply had to post this as I do so love the Nordschleife and it always interesting to see how the year's round up looks. A few seem to have had a very bad day (seemingly all on the same day - Metzgesfeld I believe). Kallenhard seems to have had its fair share too though on a wet day though.

I recon 75% of those were in the wet, that's why 100% I won't go out in the wet out there...

I bet there was lots of arse-nipping, followed by HUGE sighs of relief with the above near misses !

Nordschleife, there's only two barriers to worry about - the ones on the left and the ones on the right .

I'm fortunate enough in the 5 visits that I've never seen rain on the track...

have been there on track with snow on it at hohe acht. That was fun on cup like tyres!!

it looks like most of the big ones are at schwedenskreuz Pete as its the left hander after the bump which unsettles the cars.

kallenhard then metzgefeld is awful in the wet as its a double apex, late turn in then down hill off camber.

few offs just at entry to miss hit miss. How that gtr did not hit the yank tank...

its not too bad in the wet if u know yr way around and slow down a lot!! More grip off normal lines too.

In that case Steve, you will have to give me your dates for next year. I have had some very good dry spells and a few wet ones too. Snow (track side) and very cold temperatures only on DN7 ( - ? April 2013).

Das Chin, yes I did think Schwedenkruz but the grass strip did not look wide enough and the large trees in the background looked too big but then it always looks a little different facing the wrong way (no pun intended ).

I always go in August, 2011 it rained the morning we left so didn't effect me and this August it rained mid afternoon at the F1 circuit for about 30 mins (whist Superpole for WSB was on) but was bone dry at Adenau and by the time I went out everywhere was bone dry.
