Leaded drifting at Spa
Ok so Leaded (Lucas) was learning the circuit after a day drifting at Papenburg the day before. He was used to me getting last but I think he realised up Kemmel that I wasn't going for the gap (country to my natural instinct) and realised my video was running on the iPhone.
So just a few corners drifted here (Les Combes 1m 10s and Flanges 2m 05s) which ended up in a bit of gravel and some loud stone hits to my car , He then preceded with me as passenger to drift Pouhon at 85mph in a power slide then later in the day do the whole lap I am told with ONeill as passenger , sideways.

Now on Cutters there is a video of some drifting recorded from Leaded's car of a MrCsLman which was really good. Now searching I have realised MrCsLman is Nick Johnson
Here is Leaded videos from a nicks car And Nick from Leaded's car (assuming this is him) .

Nice vids Shimmy, sorry about the stones, starting to get it but obviously ran out of talent there!
It's a bit easier on smaller wheels, wet and crap tyres rather than the sticky dry stuff. MrCSLman is Nick J, he was in his own, not for sale, E36 drift car! He is pretty good at getting some large angles back and forth and loves the drift scene. It's fun and intense going for passenger laps. For me it's more the car control aspect than huge angles, trying to still hit the apex and run out to the exit while the car is in a slide then carrying it on. There are a couple of race drivers that go to Papenburg and they're control past the limit is outstanding. It makes you learn and practice your left foot braking also. Next practice day is at Snetterton on the 8th december if anyone fancies it. Hopefully no stones this time. |
