Default Some pictures and vids of my car on track at Silverstone 11 Aug

Car is in M-track mode, as I needed to be smooth rather than show-boating, as nearly all the cars I was on track with had a far superior power to weight (including the KA, which runs a rwd 310bhp Cossie lump), so I needed every single one of the Cesil's gee-gees going to driving the car out of the corner, to make up for the power difference .

Amazed at how good it is on the brakes for how heavy it is .

This is what it sounded like outside the car (50s on) :

Mike the M track mode is

Looks like you have a long way to go, to drive fast the CSL, if you need M track mode to avoid drifting it.
The M track mode is slowing you down on the exits plus overheating the rear brakes.

It is faster with traction off mike.

If you are driving smooth with traction off then it is the same as m mode. But the m mode does slow you down and as Alex says cooks rear brakes.
some slip which with traction off will be fine, but with m track on it will slow you down.

It will come with confidence, some never dare, but once you get the csl to dance they are awesome.

Mike can drift though, so maybe keep it turned off and apply throttle gradually.

I normally drive everywhere (both on and off track) with the traction fully disabled, and it was only because I was told on here that with the Cups on the car that M-track was actually faster , so I thought with fitting the Cups, I should try it. I'm naturally a smooth driver, so the TC light was hardly ever coming on anyway.

All these black lines were mine and it lead to a naughty boy black flag LOL:

However, now that there seems to be conflicting views, I think a back to back test is required . I'm happy with a "dab of oppo", but have always understood that although it is great fun, it's not necessarily fast .

Opposite lock is not fast Mike, but the m track mode applies rear brakes when with traction off the back end would not be stepping out.

Everyones driving style is different, I was most definitely quickest in mine with everything off. But not everyone is the same.
