Easily doable IMO, I'm a novice with 1 arm and reckon I could do that in same spec car

The chassis mods make the biggest difference. Notice the cage. My csl with cage was sublime at the ring.

One things for sure he's not hanging about! He diving it like he's done it everyday for the past 5 years. I suspect he's a professional race driver, having a weekend off.

BMW when they broke the 8min barrier with the CSL in O3, it was said to have been 7.58mins, this may well have been a part of the Sales Pitch at the time.

Since then however Horst Von Saumer has more recently set a time of 7.50mins, again in what was reputed to have been a standard CSL, whereas 'Loaded' was a Super-Charged track car and set a time of 7.22mins.

These are all times for a full lap, Not BTG
And afaik, loaded-CSL was supercharged, not a turbo-engine
