BMW warranty - pre existing faults
Title says it all really.
If, but chance, you were to make a claim towards the commencement if your warranty (after the 30 days before it comes into force) how do Mondial determine if a fault was pre existing? I'm sure no one on here has used the warranty to fix something that 'may' have been faulty prior to undertaking a warranty Just wondered what members experience was on this - feel free to PM me if you prefer it off the public boards etc (or perhaps it could be discussed in the members only section?) I understand that having a friendly dealer will help - Elms springs to mind but who else? |

i dont think any dealer will break the rules, if they know it is pre-exisiting you stand no chance
as for your question, as far as i know they (mondial) dont inspect when you take out a warranty (they rely on dealer inspections at service times for history) and if you decided to claim for something that was older than your ownership im not sure they would be able to find out, unles there was an old fault code or signs of long term wear from the issue for small issues i doubt thye would waste their time looking but for more costly things they would do some research through delaers records and such like
