Default Warranty

So, I'm collecting my SB this Saturday and thought I would do a warranty comparison.

Mondial (BMW) was priced where I thought it would be for a fully comp £100 excess

Tried Warranty Direct which came out at £1050.

After about an hour. I get a phone call from them, stating a 'special one day offer'

Basically he went on how their warranty was so much better than BMW's YADA YADA YADA and how, if i signed up today, he could reduce that price down to £750.

Oh, that sounds good, I replied.
Would it cover, say a broken seat frame?

No, only electrical and mechanical.

I'll get back to you...

So I pushed the button on BMW's warranty.

Am I correct in thinking on the monthly policy, if I call them after 11 months I can get the second year rate and the policy will be unaffected by the car's migration into 60k miles (currently 59K)?

Looking forward to Saturday.

Just renewed my annual policy with Mondial, Fully comp, £100 excess, £840
I think if you on monthly payments as it approaches 60K you just continue with the payments. Not 100% on that as I'm on annual for a bit longer.

I was told once you've agreed your policy terms etc, the monthly payment is then fixed at that rate. Ay changes , eg to change the excess etc, would mean cancelling the policy and reissuing a new one, which if done over 60k would mean restarting at the new higher premiums. In other words, make sure what you sign up to now ( pre 60k miles) is what you are going to be happy with for the coming years.

Small print does of course say Mondial can change / re-evaluate things at any time with only a shortish notice period

Correct

Cars under 60k best policy is BMW Mondial monthly.

Don't even look at the other companies tbh, waste of time.
