I love the seats, remind me of the car's focus and fit me perfectly. I find them much better 'fitting' than the big adjustable ones in the M3, could never get lumbar right on those.

But can see why someone bigger might struggle.

Thanks for all the comments, they have helped me to change my pre-conceived ideas on number of owners.

But just to throw a spanner in the works, one of the "candidates" I now find out was/is a Lease car, how would that effect your opinion of a car ??

My pre-conceived thoughts are coming to the fore again, "may have had to be serviced regularly, but keeper probably abused it, knowing he was going to hand it back" am I wrong again ???

I think the CSL is one of them cars that attracts many owners.

I'm the 4th on mine, the last owner only had it in his possession for 6 months and didn't like it, due to the seats and ride, he wanted a 'special' daily drive, so he bought a M3 CS instead, his loss my gain.

This is where condition comes into play. You'll need to view it. This is a sports car and a very usable one at that. If you have warranty and the car is in great condition what does it matter?

Whats the point in not using a car or buying a car thats so looked after you daren't actually use the thing properly. This only matters if you want to get in and out of the car quickly and/or with minimal £ loss or if you are a collector and are buying it for appreciation... in which case I expect the cost of carry may come into play.

Get one, use it, love it, keep it

Well I'm 6ft8 and 17stone and the seats and driving position are about as good as I've ever had in a car

Now that you mention it, I do seem to hit the brakes with my fat ankles the odd time when accelerating. Makes for poor progress

The CSL is just like any other expensive sporty car. People buy them for the experience and then move them on for something else desirable. It's the same with Porsches, Ferraris and any other top end car
Once a car has had more than one owner, the number of owners becomes an irrelevance.
Buy on condition, service histroy. Everything else is a lottery
