I'm paying the same as I had to pay for a 'lapsed' policy ..... even though the car currently had an annual policy in place.

I could only take out a monthly policy when the annual finished, but by then would probo have been over 60K, so the solution was for the previous owner to cancel his annual policy & for me to take out a new monthly policy ( which was then classed as a lapsed policy ) .

Is it because it's higher for the first year?

If so, after month 13 will it drop on monthly DD or am I stuck on the higher figure, 'cos I cannot alter the policy without getting penalised for being over 60k miles?

Typical, us newbies not only have to pay more to get into a CSL but then have to pay more for the warranty on top!

Should have bought one in 2008 instead of the RS6!

In two minds if I will renew... All major stuff is brand new and it's parked up most of the time, apart from the odd appearance.
Is it worth it

My thoughts are the same. Wanted a warranty as the car is new to me. But with only doing an estimated 3k miles a year a reckon I might pass on it after year one.

All depending, of course, on how much goes wrong in the first year...

I had a 4 year old RS6+ that had over 10k of warranty work done on it in the first year.

It has,am I right in saying all new parts are guaranteed now Steve because you made a contribution to the warranty(the excess)to BMW.
