Seeing as I'm 1/3 jewish (tighter than a gnats chuff!)

What needs replacing? Steering wheel obviously, and the roof would need sorting but why would anybody want to rip it up and turn it into a track toy?

Surely a little TLC would turn it into a gem??

Tight fucker! Have you tried finding reasonably priced CSL parts, seats, interior trim, rear view mirror, steering wheel, that's probably 3-4k there with hidden extra's and gremlins to find, then you've got the CSL specific lightweight rear glass to find and this is all before you get to wiring and paintwork!

Ahh I missed the first link, some of it's been done, still looks like plenty of missing parts and one fucked steering wheel!

I'm fed up of challenges after all the rot box Ford's! I'm all for an easy life now!

It looks like he's made an attempt at getting it back but either got bored or run out of funds. See it's missing a CF splitter on the front too, and the photos under the bonnet are filthy.

£14K seems more reasonable though. Track car FTW.

Question Re: Who needs enemies when you have freinds like these

If i remember the conversation correctly it was a 'mate' dropping a cigarette end?

Cost of parts to restore originality would be mighty, some parts getting very rare? How many spare rear glazzing did BMW produce for example? Carbon roof and cross member would likely be warped with heat.

When interior seats/trim sell for 5K on some forums and then, as mentioned many small burn't electrical gremlins to sort out. The binacle glass was melted - surprising how much heat generated in such a small fire.

Great track car prospect tho.

Also might be written off by insurance company which will cause future on-costs?

How many are left inb the UK now?

PP.
