Default Remote windows

help with this issue please chaps -

hold down unlock on the key and all windows open

hold down lock on the key and just the fronts close

is this proper behaviour?? quite annoying when i've accidentally sat on the key and opened all the windows, then have to go the car, get in just to shut the rears

Yes, they all do that. There's no safety device on the rear windows so they don't auto close. It's a pity that the rears open on the key button really, if it was just the front windows it'd be much more convenient.

Aye, that's normal. Pain in the hole, but I think you can get the programming changed by BMW. ;-)
