Donington Golf race 03.04.2001

Clip shows me down the craners with another car attempting an overtake which had started on the exit of Redgate - we were racing for position. I see it that he turned in a bit too early before his overtake was complete. I was already fully over to the left and got my left wheels on the left kerb as we went down the craners. Any further over and I'm on the grass. The other car should have maintained 1 car width and we would never have touched, it was completely unecessary to turn in. Clerk of the Course held me 100% responsible...2 points on my license aswell! Feel a bit hard done to!

and again - in the wet, obviously the outside is the quicker line in the wet, but it still goes to prove that it can be done.

looks a bit hash to me, but maybe they see it as him having the line and being in front of you , you've drove in the wedge, as they say in F1 and t boned him! Nice move!

Failing that I reckon he could have thought he was passed you (he did appear in the film to be coming past pretty quick) or thought you would let off and give him position. You looked as though you lost a bit of speed coming out of redgate (?) when you got on the rumble strip and had a bit of a wobble.

2 points, what does that mean, how many can you get before you get in to a bit of bother?

Looks like a harsh decision

I didn't realise you race in the GTI championship, my mate Clive Belton races in it aswell, it was a last minute dash on the friday to get his car finished! haven't had a chance to ask how it went though.

Are you 8v or 16v?
