Mine is weekend and track toy.

I also came from M3 to the CSL. I didn't think there would be much between them but how wrong I was. It's not the straight line speed, that's much the same but the general feel and specialness of the car is a on a completely different level. Over three years later and I still love it. Find a good one and do it. You won't look back.

Welcome

Mines used to be used more regularly than it is used now. Going to SORN it end of Oct and it will be a garage queen until next year. It took me a while to get used to the SMG but now I wouldn't change it. An excellent all round car, I am sure you will enjoy immensely.

Used whenever, other than really stupidly short trips ... used as a van, taxi, track and week-ends, great to have for fun as my daily is a Disco 3 ! ... but a special one !

I never use mine anymore. Went to go out in it yesterday after not driving it for over a month, it was dead! Wouldn't even let me in! Jump started it in the end, took it out for a wee spin and BOY... have I been missing out!

mine is my only car so gets used everyday (i'm home anyway) for everything you can think of and does everything brilliantly as you know driving a M3

I was looking to get a GT2 but TBH after test driving one and then getting back into the CSL i have put that on hold for a bit.... The CSL is that good

Welcome to the site, no reason IMHO why couldn't be used everyday but I have other cars to put mundane/mucky miles on and like the fact it's used for fun... feels soooooo fast after a mk2 Golf or A2 TDI!

What makes the CSL different to an M3 for short trips mate? i drive my M3 at most 1 mile to work and back and never had any problems.

Firstly welcome to the forum, I'm new as well

Mine is a weekend / Ring / holiday car, as I have other mobiles for sh*t trips and keeps the CSL ready for blasts etc.

All these short trips being mentioned, don't you guys warm the cars up a bit, say 4/5 miles?
