Whoever said sarcasm was the lowest form of wit?

for the first 2 years of ownership my CSL only stayed outside on my driveway but after a while i noticed somebody kept showering the front with stones as i slept - resulting in loads of stone chips mainly on the front bumper and bonnet, so i decided to clear out the garage and keep her under cover

Agree with above ^^^ wrong colour! You'll get that on here, load of banter between the owners of the 2 different coloured cars...but the black ones are slower, so you won't need AP's! ;-)

No fog lights as the advert suggests BTW. Just in case!

Don't know anything about car covers, particularly outdoor ones so can't help there, sorry.

I have to say though, great price! For present owners that is.

WRT insurance, Admiral was best for me when my car was standard, now Competition Car Insurance is the best as my car is modified and is tracked.

You can get a BMW indoor and outdoor cover for the M3/M3 CSL.

Same route for me on insurance

I will give admiral a call and look out a cover. What do you think about this one

How necessary are the AP breaks for nornal road use?

I have even found a CSL plate. Woo Hoo.

Cheers

Welcome Will.

I've recently joined the ranks of CSL ownership too. I looked at a few on the internet and called about the one you have posted a link to also. You're right, it does look nice, but I think it's worth bearing in mind that it's had five previous owners. Now I know these type of cars change hands a lot (my old GT3 had five owners), but for the price they're asking (and they wouldn't budge with me), I think there are potentially better cars out there. Perhaps this is why it's been for sale for such a long time.

Also, don't get too hung up about mileage. I decided to go for the comfort of having a BMW AUC car with a two year warranty and opted for this little beauty: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1736340.htm Despite its advancing miles it's still as tight as a drum and drives absolutely superb.

It also lives outside next to the daily whip; so far it hasn't dissolved yet

Hmmm

Thanks again. I was orignally not put off by five previous owners. I was going to have a full BMW inspection from a guy I know through Xtreme Motor sports (they sold my NXS) at a cost of £250 plus fuel. Then, subject to inspection was going to offer £27,500. It is a standard car but has Armour fend on it, new standard breaks and four new tyres, new MOT, but no tax. I am not in a hurry, so what do you guys think?

Get it or not.

Will

PS Black ones clearly much faster.......

Good buy

DON'T
put a car cover on, any bits will scratch the paint work when putting in place and removing
