![]() ITINERARY FOR SNETTERTON CIRCUIT 7.30-8.20am Upon arrival at Snetterton, please make your way to the signing on area which will be sign posted. You will need to bring with you and show both parts of your full driving licence (do not forget or you may be charged by the circuit if they call the DVLA for proof, DVLA checks are not possible on Sundays or Bank Holidays) and sign the forms which are available in the signing on area. Signing on will cease at 8.20am sharp so please make sure you arrive in plenty of time. Late arrivals will be signed on after 9.30am and briefed afterwards – you will miss your first session if you are late. Compulsory noise testing for all Cars will be taking place from 8am until 8.30am in the collecting area . (Note: Cars not tested in this time frame can attend sighting laps only but must then be tested in the collection area before continuing). 8.30 am Drivers Brief – This will take place in the Restaurant or in Pit Lane (an announcement will be made). You will not be allowed onto the circuit unless you attend this briefing and receive a second sticker. 9.00 am Sighting Laps – the first 3 laps will be sighting laps Continuation of open pit lane. 12.30/1.00 pm The circuit will close for lunch for 1 hour 1.30/2.00 pm Open pit lane will recommence 5.00 pm or Dusk The Circuit will close WE WISH YOU AN ENJOYABLE DAY & WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE! All timings are approximate and subject to change. The transfer of a purchased place is subject to a 15% administration charge and is not permitted without prior consultation with Focused Events. ¨ Directions Snetterton is situated 10 miles north east of Thetford and on the A11 from London to Norwich. From the south, leave the M11 at junction 9 and follow the A11. From the north or west take the M11/A11 and join the A11 after Newmarket. ¨ Indemnity Forms Please sign a Focused Events and a Motor sport Vision Ltd Indemnity form at signing on. Please fill in your name and address on both forms and emergency contact. All drivers must complete and sign both these forms before being allowed onto the circuit. So that we can keep you up-to-date with all the latest deals and offers, including additional dates, please make sure that you fill in your EMAIL ADDRESS – can you really afford not to? ¨ Driving License You must bring both parts of your full current UK driving licence issued by the DVLA with you and present it at registration. You will not be allowed onto the circuit without one. ¨ Alcohol Anybody found or perceived to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed onto the circuit. Focused Events carry breathalyser kits, if upon request you will be expected to give a breath sample. If you choose to decline you will be excluded from the day with no refund. If you fail a breath test you will be excluded from the day with no refund. If you are found consuming alcohol during the day you will be excluded from the day with no refund. Breath tests cost £6 – which you will be charged for. ¨ Clothing All drivers must wear at all times whilst on the circuit: ACU/MCRCB approved helmets & full body clothing. ¨ Crash Helmet Hire Crash helmets are available on the day to hire at £10.00 per day or event and to be accompanied with a valid debit card acting as deposit. ¨ Cars & Noise Limit All Cars should be mechanically sound and in suitable condition to be driven on the circuit. There is a noise limit of 105 decibels as set by the circuit. For safety reasons please remove all loose objects from inside your car. Extra Drivers Extra Drivers are limited to one per vehicle. Hire Cars You are able to hire a car through ourselves for this day. We are no longer allowing the use of hire cars from other companies on our days for safety and insurance reasons. ¨ Tyres We strongly advise you to contact your tyre manufacturer and get a recommended pressure for Trackday use. Remember set your pressures that morning when the tyre is cold! Please note that if your tyres are found to be in a dangerous condition or inappropriate for use you will be warned and then removed from the trackday with no refund. This is for your safety and the safety of other track users. ¨ Incidents If you crash your car, it may be necessary to stop the session. This causes unnecessary loss of track time to you and your colleagues, so please take care and ensure that your car is driven to the conditions and your ability and not beyond. If an incident happens just before you or to a friend, DO NOT STOP, the marshal’s will deal with it accordingly. ¨ Flags Please obey the flags at all times as this is our only form of communication with you whilst on the circuit: These will be fully explained at the safety briefing. RED Danger - Session is stopped, slow down immediately and proceed with caution to the pits YELLOW Caution - Slow down, either there may be danger ahead or your speed is too fast YELLOW/RED STRIPED Caution, slippery surface warning BLUE Overtaking flag BLACK FLAG Safety flag, return to pits CHEQUERED Session Ends - Complete the lap and return to the pit area ¨ General Rules - Please drive slowly in the pit area and in a clockwise direction only in pit lane and on the circuit - When joining the circuit do so carefully with a life saver - Brake and change gear in a straight line - Before each corner slow down sufficiently to a speed that enables you to accelerate progressively through the corner - Remember; If you crash valuable time is lost from your session - If you feel tired; Pull into pit lane and rest. - If you feel your group is too fast or too slow, speak to us, we will change your group. It is very important in the view of everyone’s safety that you drive with people of the same standard. We constantly monitor groups so we may ask you to move if we feel that you are in the wrong group - If you see any dangerous driving, PLEASE LET US KNOW - Anybody found or perceived to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed onto the circuit - Focused Events and the circuit reserve the right to take off the circuit, anyone who is not complying with instructions or who may be causing danger to himself/herself or to others |
