They self level to the point that you calibrate them too and by level sensors can move up/down if extra weight in car etc etc.

Ideally you will need a headlight aligner but alternatively drive towards a wall on level surface, put headlights on engine running.

Level is approx to top of headlight, left and right equal and the kick off to the left(ns)
