Default Recaro SPG seat fitment.?

Hi all,
Thanks in advance, I have a set of Recaro SPG seats on order with side rails, will these fit directly onto the existing floor rails or is it a case of removing everything.
Have any of you fitted Recaros

thanks Again,
Mark

You'll need recaro sliders and floor mount to use with the L brackets.

The OEM seat mount whilst made by recaro is a single unit (side bracket, slider and mount all in one) - you can technically fit the SPG to the factory bracket (maybe) - as the measurements are very similar (although the CSL seat bracket is slightly narrower in the rear mounting points compared to the front).

The CSL shell is based on the SPG - in fact if you read the label it says CSL SPG.

The problem with using the factory bracket is that it incorporates the tilt mechanism and part of that mechanism is fitted on the seat shell. You can technically disconnect that part of the mechanism and do away with the tilt, but it'd look a bit strange (if you've taken the seats and bracket apart you'll get what I mean) - it's possible, but it'd look very strange.

Lots of aftermarket floor mount and sliders that you can use - VAC, Sparco ect ... you don't have to use Recaro.

Yes recaro side mounts and recaro sliders. I recommend fitting VAC Motorsport base brackets as very low and lightweight. There are two options to buy and if you are tall you need the extended one.

I've got this combo fitted and superb choice.

I've got a set of long VAC mounts spare in silver. Have been test fitted to car but nothing more.

I get it back tomorrow :D

Cannot wait. Still a heavy bugger though, only 40kg lighter than standard.

Is it going to rain on Monday? Bugger, that'll be fun on slicks :D
