i have tried cup2s and R888R for the standard CSL wheels and I much prefer the R888R. After 4 track days the grip is still consistent and it is less affected by heat cycles. This includes a scorching bedford day tuesday past.
Can anyone suggest where to start looking for replacements? I like to buy them ahead of time .. ![]() Tx |

AR 1 is found in 19 but the rear is 265/35/R19 instead of 263/30/R19
NS2R still doesn't have R19s DZ03G also not found in R19 |

Would love someone to try the accelera 651 sport semi slicks
They are cheap as chips but are raved about in the drifting scene. Csl sizes are £300 a set. |

certainly seems cheap. less than half the cost of R888R
won't last as long but will it grip as well? btw is tyreleader still a good place to buy. they have the cheapest R888R due to different load rating. 89 for the rears which are in line with the original cups |

Another tyre worth looking into is the Advan AD08R.
Its a bit more expensive than the R888R but alot more capable in the wet and not as sensitive to tyre pressures. Grip wise in the dry the R888R is a bit better but it will wear out quicker from what i was told. So for me if you dont have a dedicated set of trackday wheels i wouldnt go for the R888R.

Tx Julian. I do have dedicated OEM CSL trackday wheels unfortunately or I would have gone 18". R888R for me have been the last 4 trackdays quite consistent. I know I've heard they heat cycle out quick but that was my experience with Cup2s not to mention less grip. I've also heard good things re AD08R and RS.

After nearly 7 years of cup 1's and 2's on 19's i have gone 18" square set up running dunlop derezas 265/35/18's.
they're not cheap at over £300 a corner but they feel super grippy. Off to the ring this weekend...... weather looks dodgy but fingers crossed |
