I'm in the Patina camp. You can't use the car as a daily and not expect some dings and scrapes..

Stop polishing, get out and drive!!

I can't see how the owner can be blamed for the scrotes that obviously keyed it .

Clearly negligent in not completing a full pre-parking risk assessment.
Needs to at the far end, with no opportunity for someone to park next to you, not near the trolleys or the cut through path to McDonalds.

Easy, all CSL journeys should:
  • begin at your garage
  • end at your garage
  • average at least 70mph

Agreed Rick.

Mechanically A1 with a rugged exterior. No more fretting about parking, oncoming cars chucking shite all about the place.

Hi lads

That was my thread, bit late but didn't know it had been picked up here.

From what I know it had a SMG fault. However it wasn't the pump... it was the gearshift module itself - rare?

The plot thickens though. It took quite a while for the fault to be found. After one week, the garage tried to call the owner but the number would not dial through!

Then a week or so later the owner turned up asking why there had been no update (phone). The garage explained that they were still trying to diagnose the fault and had tried to call but couldn't get through.

The garage took down his number once again. They eventually found the fault (gearshift module) and installed a new one. When they tried to call the owner so he could collect the car the same thing happened... the number would not dial through!

So yeah, they've been waiting for him to pick it up. I agree in that the cosmetics can be fixed - I was tempted to leave a note asking if he wanted to sell up

Mike Brewer from wheeler dealers would be all over it like a tramp on chips.

From what I've been told, the owner is the original owner from new so he's owned it for a long time. Strange if he isn't a locale on here no?

I'll be going back to the garage soon, be interesting to see if its still lurking there.

The way the pics of the CSL run through with those of the 750 might suggest to some that it's parked at or near Darren Woods in Stockport, which it isn't.

Not sure where it is, but it isn't at DWs, he'd have the good manners to trough a tarp over it.
It doesn't belong to 'Rick H' and it isn't mine so who then, if it's Oop Norf?
