Making CSL parts work on a none CSL
I thought I share with you guys how hard it and long it took for us Yanks to get you CSL bits to work.
After lots of work from some dedicated guys on the m3forums we got you cool CSL bits working. Temp Sensor, Map Sensor with rail, Oil level indicator, and now the flap motor. All of this was done using none CSL parts. To clarify, we used OE parts for the wire setup and a MSS54HP and added the H-Bridge. Now for you guys are like big deal but still thought I share how much work we have to do to get want you enjoy every day. Ok flame suite ON! http://youtu.be/NCMV2via-50

Hi,
See ''World Series'' is not really correct is it !!! First you'd like to rewrite History ''Hollywood style'' alleging that the Yanks cracked Ingma [sic] and now its the Siemens DME Code is going the same way, surely not. Has Bruckheimer been signed to make it as it won't be Simpson will it, even Holloooooywood can't fudge that. Oil Level Indicator is not accurate and has been known to give false readings. Why would you want a false oil level reading ? Is that an American Thing ? Even BMW are not sure why they really fitted a Flap to the CSL Intake, but if having something else to go wrong restricting air flow to the S54 is your boat, then please float it. Temp Sensor and Map sensor are not critical for a MAF car, CSL was way to dirty a pig for all that the clean US/LA air, and as the std MS S54 ECU has a Alpha N default for MAF cars, then if you know how to do it you can run a ''Carbon Plenum/Airbox'' without restriction and without MAF running Alpha N on the std ECU. The only bit lacking is the MS S54/CSL Fuel Trimming. I'd swap the ''Flame Suit'' for a ''Search Facility Suit'' maybe a little more beneficial, what do you think ? Its OK though, sometimes even Primates swing out the wrong side. Regards, The Gorilla. |

Thanks for your insight Gorilla. I think you missed the point of what we were trying to do but that is ok.
In either case enjoy your car in good health.
