had a long chat the other day with the UK head of technical @ Michelin ... interesting insight into the cups & SS

Basically he said , he got his tyres free so could choose any of them but he would always fit the SuperSports to a CSL that spent any time on the road. The SS outperformed the cup in all areas except for that last 5% on a track.

I'll second this as run a set before which last me over 3 years and 18k miles. Not too shabby on track too.

Hmmm... hard to beat driving a CSL on Cups though, I have to say. Maybe for long M'Way stuff, SS's would be 'more comfortable' but for Sunday runs, has to be Cups all day long.

I run Goodyears Eagle F1's Assy II and they are perfect, managed to get them from love tyres for something silly like £700 in CSL sizes before the trip, might be worth a look.

These cars need some good shoe's, I would personally go with SS or Eagle F1's for everyday use. Cups totally transform the car.
