You'll also note from the image attached the spurious number?

As there was 1800 models made and factory fitted with the plaque.
Anyone requiring a replacement for whatever reason will not get their original number but the next available number on the reproduction list.

These are free from VW with proof of 'Anniversary' ownership.
Obviously this was open to abuse and could be found on our favorite Auction site at one time almost monthly. The last No. I saw was '1843' that's a lot of plaques gone missing and were selling at up to £100 a pop at their peak.
