As a yoof, I had a yellow Mk IV spitfire, one of the few cars I sold on at a profit.
Used to blow a fuse if you turned on the fan whilst the wipers were on. Overdrive in 3 and 4th gear was impressive though. Overdrive - home many members remember that! |

overdrive .. have that on my 1967 landrover .. means I can actually achieve 55 mph

Scratches in Glass, I was once given a trade secret by the chap in Kendals Manchester who did all the engraving - 'fag ash' mixed with a little water to form a paste and then Brasso to finish.
He swore by it, claimed it saved his life on many an occasion.
