Just a thought, but those going on to Salzburg could call in on Schnitzer at Freilassing (just before the border) to see their collection of racing BMWs. May even be lucky & see some race cars being prepared. Worth a visit.

Not for me might make it a 7 or 10 day trip if any one is up for a road trip
