weight saving....doors are a must, you wont get the weight out without changing them. I have a contact for GRP doors for 440 euro a pair! mine weight 5.5kg with all the gubbins in them.
Next, full exhaust, Geoff Steele made me a full system which weighs less than a supersprint back box. After that glass and time with the angle grinder. When I brought my car from Curly it was around 1550kg with driver, it now weighs 1330kg with driver (Brands) but that was with 3 parts a tank of fuel coz I was getting horrendous fuel starvation coming out of clearways. Sub 1300kg next race |

I weigh about 90kg BTW, so my car is probably 1210kg with quarter a tank of fuel

Righto, wheels ordered. Didn't realise thorney did TD, they had them in stock so it seemed an easy win, coming tomorrow with the brakes.
Tyre sizes - 235 front, 265 rear ? I've seen some posts talking about 245/275, a bit much ? |

What wheels have you ordered? On 9jx18 all round I think people are using 265's all round mate

I've gone for the team-dynamics 9x18. My brother put a set of these (albeit smaller!) on his MX5 and they just strike me as a cheap but-all-you-need wheel for trackdays.
I believe the "trick" is to use a 10mm spacer at the rear. Not sure what tyres to go for - my favourite tyre is the DZ03 but mrtyre are only listing 235 and 265 profiles. Might be easier to go for 265 all round right enough, then front/rear swaps are possible. I know a man who races in the csl cup, I think I'll give him a quick call Lee. |

Def 265 all round, don't fit 235 on 9 inch rims
No point in getting square set up and run narrow front Tyres.

Depending on wheel offset you may fund more rubbing with 255s up front, certainly the case on some setups looking at the m3forum guys in the US.
Standard M3 size is 255/40/18, I'd consider using 265/35/18 which has a smaller diameter: 661mm v 643mm I use 250/640r18 slicks all round on 10" wheels and zero rubbing, I believe Shimmy is using a 265 all round but with funcky offsets on 9.5", Matt on here is running the Dunlops and again I believe 265 all round on 9" wheels?
