Cog Light Flashing.

When my car gets hot and has been having lots of gear changes it eventually can result in the cog light flashing amber, otherwise no noticeable side effects.

Anybody got any ideas what might be wrong. I know if I get it looked at under warranty it's likely it can't be replicated, as mechanics aren't likely to get it as hot as me

Soon as I back off it will stop flashing. Occasionally it might stay on but goes away when engine restarted, normally it will stop flashing and go off when you stop driving hard.

Weather was hot on both occasions.
