Who fancies ZANDVOORT in the summer?
I fancy taking a trio up to Zandvoort and Amsterdam in 2012 for a weekend away.
Looking at Trackdays so far I can see the following: baT 2nd August lotus On Track 3rd August skylimits 4th July I know Dunc has been and also my brother, both say it is a good circuit.

If only there was a Zandvoort td the day after Zolder, would be real greedy after Spa aswell but would make ferry expense more productive/efficient

I think I'd have to change to go over Saturday to get up to Zandvoort at decent time or Sunday will be 9-10 hours driving plus a Trackday!

We're on love boat overnight and dock at 9am the Sunday. Zandvoort is 1h 20m north west from Rotterdam. Zandvoort open 12 noon while 6pm, 3 - 4 sessions then onto Spa.
Am in contact with Chief Curlymeister who is says we're having it! Fit lad like you could do it, just have easy night Spa with a good sleep? It's not like you'll be going mad at Zandvoort in 4 sessions but would be good taster and something to do Sunday afternoon |

Hmmmm I have 3 choices..... 1. Ignore Zandvoort this time and turn up at Spa Sunday 2. Get earlier tunnel (Saturday afternoon rather than Sunday) and drive up to Zandvoort and get hotel, TD on Sunday. Say £50 fuel and £ 70 extra hotel = £120 plus TD 3. Book ferry harwich-hook for £122 overnight on Saturday with berth and arrive 7.30am Sunday and straight to TD. Eurotunnel booking can be put back so not wasted. No hotel required. £10 fuel + £80 ferry = £90 extra plus TD

That's eeeasy one shim, get on't big boat...less miles driving, more relaxing, less dosh, fair intro/trial run at Zandvoort plus easy relaxing journey home from zolder.
Don't forget to add miles on track per £ in transport whilst also giving more weight per mile on fresh/new tracks into spreadsheet! Plus if there is any easier work admin you could do 3-4 hrs on boat. Increasing productivity is the only way out of the reccession Me, curly & twiggy will wave as our boat will be right behind you and we could either all drive up to zv or meet you there. |
