dont think so the rumble is not gear related but speed related. cant tell any cornering difference but as it is at 70mph hard to find a corner i can do at 70mph to check!

Rumble linked to diff and clicking to play in the wheel, prob lower rear wishbones gonna sort the wishbones and see what's left if the Rumbles still there gonna swap the diff out back to OEM and see what happens

I had a clicking noise once, turned to be one of the brakes pads rattling in the caliper. Check that the securing springs are correctly fitted and intact.
Droning noise - cheapest way would be assume a wheel bearing, replace it and then road test. Wheel bearing can make some very strange and different noises in my experience when they near the end of their life. An interesting story with a 996 C4 I had: had a droning noise that increased with road speed, sounded nothing like a wheel bearing, service chap agreed with me. Long story short, they replaced the gearbox under warranty saying the the pinion bearing was goosed. Picked it up after the gearbox was done and the noise was still there! Replaced the rear wheel bearings just to rule them out - and hey presto, the noise had gone. £5000 worth of gearbox and it turned out to be a wheel bearing.....numpty's! |
