Jobsworth Venting.......................
That's me venting not the Jobsworth. I tried to get the CSL MOT'd today in order to Reg it with DVLA, it failed. On what I hear you ask. The number plates, this wouldn't have been so bad had I not said clearly to the chap that I needed the car MOT'd on the chassis as the numberplates aren't reg'd to the car so ignore them. The outcome is I can take it back there with the plates off and retest it (with a brand new fee) and all is well but they wont let it go as is or on the 'free' retest. Now I know some of you are thinking well it's only anither £30 but when you trying to get sense out of these people (and the government agencies - I spoke to both VOSA and DVLA, VOSA said the car was reg'd as UK, DVLA said export) I felt I wanted to kill somebody not pay them extra and smile.
I've calmed down now and can see a way round but nobody suggested any way forward for me they only said 'computer says no'. Just problems from these twerps no solutions, can't wait for the government to sink in ther poo pile and sack the lot of them. Rant over........ |

It does pay to be on friendly terms with your local MOT centre,
With us being in the trade helps, but I know where you are coming from |
