Use a pyrometer to work it out.

Thats unhelpful
We ended up at around 24psi cold on Dunlop Slicks, you could start there, but Nathan is right you need to look at tyre temps across the tyre Last edited by El_Gordo; 26-09-2009 at 01:55 PM. |

It all depends on the width of the slicks which isn't given, the make & compound, the stiffness of the sidewalls, the weight of the car, the suspension stiffness, the geo etc etc.
32 hot is a good starting point but I really would suggest a pyrometer to tune it to what works for you with your settings. |

No, the goal is to have a spread across (have heard anything from 10-15 degrees spread) with the insides the hottest, but for pressures you can get a very good idea if it is working by seeing if the middle is hotter (over inflated), or colder (under inflated) than either side.
Curly is yer man for the Michelins as that is what he used to use, I've only ever used the dunlops. |
