Xenons & projector headlamps
For a CSL without Xenons.
This is an aftermarket upgrade which includes brand new headlamps and a set of HID's which are as good as xenons. They also include angel eyes. No use to me now. £275, Bargain. Last edited by Rags; 27-04-2009 at 09:50 PM. |

HID and Xenon are actually the same thing!
Bi-Xenon just means that the low beam & high beam are from the same bulb. I never got round to fitting these to my CSL. |

Just to add, the lights and xenons are brand new. The lights have the film on the front of them and the lights also come with indicators. All fully boxed and ready! |

Hi Rags,
I have a couple of questions. Why is it you bought new headlamps to go with the HIDs? Also, are they guaranteed to work with the BMW as I've been reading you need the right kit so it doesn't cause a system fault? Cheers, Jeff |

The reason for the new headlamps is because you need projector headlamps to disperse the light correctly with an acceptable beam pattern.
Secondly, these new lights have angel eyes as well. In terms of the cancelling item you are elluding to is a resistor that is within the Xenon kit that ensures there isn't a fault with the LCM flashing issue. Thats it basically! Bargain! |

Are these okay without washers for the MOT?

As I understand it, if the car has Xenons from the factory (ie. on the build sheet) you need wash/wipe.
However, if they are retro fitted, it is acceptable. If you recall, many CSL's didn't come with washers from the factory and had to be delayed as a result back in 2003. Bear in mind, most MOT testers wouldn't even notice. |
