Default Supersprint LWR noise

I've finally did it.. installed a Supersprint LWR backbox to my otherwise oem exhaust system.

I have to say im not entirely sold on it. I like it on Startups and if you are going fast but on cruising speeds it does sound like a tuned civic also a bit too noisy at those speeds for my taste. Im thinking about going back to OEM.

Any advice?

Sorry cant help you but helpful for me! I have an Agency Power back box fitted (on car when i bought it) which is seriously loud! I have been trying to decide between the Supersprint or reverting to OEM.
I have a contact at BMW that has quoted me around £750 inc VAT for back box, sealing ring and gaskets delivered, any good ? Kev

I had one for a few months myself a very long time ago, I didn't like it either, i'm really not a fan of the LWR box.

They do a race version which is non lightweight and I personally think it's a nicer sounding exhaust and doesn't drone like the LWR does.

I run a titanium back box on mine, coupled with the Supersprint cats and Supersprint resonated centre, sounds nice, still quite loud but not LWR loud.

I dont know how the AP compares to the supersprint but the latter is as loud as i would ever want. Its still somewhat manageable in day to day driving.
In the low revs its got a very deep tone (really compares to a 4 cyl with a aftermarket boombox )

Upwards of 3k RPM it sings together with the airbox.

Your quoted price is very good. At least in relation to
The prices in germany

@phoenixcsl thx for your input, what kind of Titanium backbox do you use?

I have a 'Timate' exhaust, they are pretty rare, not actually seen another one in the UK since I've had it, which must be be best part of 4 years now.

Sounds decent, light weight, and track friendly

Best exhaust is the Dixis Titanium Spirit, but then thats loud, REALLY LOUD but sounds incredible, having said that, they are rare as hens teeth, I sold one of those about 10 years ago and I regret that now.

Thank you phoenix, but it looks even louder than the Supersprint

i have the LWR supersprint muffler... (-20kg) with resonated pipes and std cats.

works with uk track days. does sound like a tuned civic from the inside but from the outside at full chat it sounds wonderful.

also uk track days are ok.

Yes, fully agree on full chat its amazing. But cruising its not beautiful, and also drowns out the airbox, for those of you that are flapless.
