Default M4 as a daily?

The M135i is soon to go back and I need a new daily for 10k pa. have a little C1 on mega cheap lease and an old Passat for the nasty boring stuff so not too bothered about where I park this new daily

Can't decide whether to be sensible and run my Dads Jag XF S for a couple of years which I can get cheap

Or other choice is an M4 or 997 Turbo

We all love the 997 Turbo here, but has anyone experienced the M4? Running costs seem sensible it's the epic depreciation I am not sure I can stomach. What are your thoughts and experiences?

Cheers

Matt

What a fantastic duo to have to choose from!

M4 or 997 Turbo

Either one would be a pleasure to commute to work in.

The M4 is still in the heavy depreciation phase unless you opt for an early registered M4, these seem to be in the low to mid forties.

Driving a Porker to work. I'd have to go for that just to see the Boss's face

Well looks like the M4 is out. £41000 for 3 years and 30,000 miles on PCP! Mental. That was a 5% discount on list. 15% should be achievable so may try again in the new year

Heart is after a 997.1 Turbo coupe manual in silver with chrono pack

I've been looking at the M3/M4 as a new daily too.

I think 18% is available at a push for a new one, although I suspect you will have to get your timing right for that. Someone in another forum mentioned that BMW will provide a bigger contribution in the New Year as they're not selling too well.

If you go for a 6-12 month old AUC on PCP you'd get hit by the higher interest rate (7.9%) and probably end up paying as much as a new one.
