Liqui Moly Oil
Anyone tried it? Any thoughts....seem to be a lot of BMW owners changing to this oil rather than TWS.....
Bring on the oil debate again... http://www.liquimoly.co.uk/index.php..._details&id=32 Last edited by cantfind1; 01-04-2013 at 10:53 AM. |

Why bother? We know the TWS is good stuff, why risk using something else?
I know my friend who is a mechanic and runs race cars has started using TWS in an Integra race car, he says it's really good oil. |

The castrol stuff is cheaper than that.

Well...have seen a lot of people converting to the Liqui Moly....it seems that it produces lower oil temps on track and also takes a shorter time for oil temps to cool on the run down lap....
I am not saying TWS is not good or the best am just saying that there may be something better out there now as this oil was designed for this car 10 years + ago.... |

Google it...check out the reviews...I know a lot of guys in Germany are starting to use it...
I find it funny that we all try to upgrade lots of things on our cars because the part that BMW used is not god enough...ie brakes, suspension, brake fluid, gearbox oil, etc etc But when it comes to the oil they chose apparently BMW got it right??... |

Well to an extent but the consequences of using incorrect oil at high revs and high temps is obviously catastrophic, so people tend to be a lot slower to move away from the stuff the BMW recommend, and have tested for hundreds of thousands of miles. The consequences of using aftermarket shocks and exhaust isn't going to wreck the car, most of the time anyway |

I just did do a quick google and there are some positive reviews, most of which seems to be pub talk with no real science behind peoples opinions but then I came across this...I'm sticking to TWS
