Default Warm weather = strange noise

Don't know if anyone else experienced this, but on some roads this weekend (several in a few hundred miles) the car sounded as if every bearing had failed. Worried the life out of me on the M25 & nearly pulled over. The last time I had this was when the tyres were worn.

Worn, but not like before. I do not know what it is with our roads, but tyre noise is very strange on too many occasions.

I have had road surfaces give louder noises than normal ( sounds sad but m25 near m4 junction has got a louder surface ) only noticed when on way to course in past . Would recomend using it on roads you no for a bit and see if noise reoccurs , if still conserned you no where i am .
Regards Gareth

Just out of interest Trawler... how old are your tyres and how much tread left on them ?

About 18 months. I will need to check the depth but about half worn if my memory serves me correct. Maybe Giareth can remember. Previously when I had about 1mm above the legal limit with Pilot Sports the noise was nearly there all the time.

Thanks, hopefully I will not need to take you up on the offer. Drove another 70 miles after the worst noise & everything seemed normal. Hate unusual sounds as you never know what they might bring.

Hmmm... your tyres sound to be OK but I would double check your pressures and make sure they are up to spec.
