I have gone off the idea of building a track car now!! I have been pricing things and it adds up to quite a lot, especially just to be used on the track, so, back to Pistonheads and Autotrader!!

I am torn between a CSL or a GT3. A guy I know is wanting rid of his GT3 to help with a business venture so might have a shot of that when I get home. The only thing is, a lot of CSL's still have warranty which I reckon is a must, not so common with GT3's. I know M3's, as you know have had quite a few over the past years, and feel confident in them, a Porsche? That's different ground altogether! Everything costs twice as much from Porsche too!! Watch this space!!! Lol. I'll have whatever I get at the next convenient track day (you just know it's gonna have those three letters on the bootlid though!!!).

I really didnt ike the GT3 I drove Jim, I hate the fact the engines in the back and the front to me feels light.

Colin said he had met you there, Mark. He's trying to sell that car just now to buy an E46 M3. I used to leave him mines to use when I was working away (for years now actually!?!?), or on a mad weekend and unable to drive, so he's got the bug!!

The rear engine thing is the only part about the GT3 that I am unsure about, I am fond of getting the rear out, and would be fearful of the GT3 acting like a big pendulum and pulling me into a tyre wall!! I am an adopted member of the Scottish section of the Porsche club, that's who I travel the European tracks with, and for the years I have had M3's all I keep hearing from them all is "get a 911 Jim!!". I might do one day, when I want to slow down!! Lol.

Think I am more biased towards BMW than I originally thought!!

I have never paid more than £880 a set of 4 and have managed new set for as little as £750, and nearly new set of £400 from CSL owners.

If you bargain you can get one!
