Default Regional CSL owners meets

Guys and Girls

I have offered to help organise some regular CSL owners meets, as I don't see anything really happening on here or MTorque for CSL owners.

Now I'm sure many of you own or have owned Elise's Impreza's, Evo's, Cosworths, etc and are well aware of regular meets, so thought it would be good to try to kick start something similar for CSL owners. You know, meet up somewhere in your region, have a blast through the country lanes and park up and chat, have some lunch at a good pub, etc...

Also, I am involved with organising a few track days a year and would be good to get a few of these organised for CSL drivers - more details to follow later in a different thread.

Now I'm in Portsmouth, and happy to act as the South/ South East organiser, and as such would like to suggest a meet in between Christmas and New Year - you know the time of year when you're bored at home and missing work, etc... I will create a thread soon in the Events section about this, but would like to ask people to register an interest in this thread initially.

I know there aren't all that many CSLs around, but it would be good if someone in say the Midlands/ Up North/ Scotland/ Wales, etc could try to organise the same for your own regions. I would suggest quartlerly meets to make it something to look forward to along with a once a year National Meet - something to get the BMW car mags involved with, etc.

Anyway, I'm full of ideas and think that for now I've spouted off enough, so time for you guys to respond to this thread please with your thoughts.

Cheers

Terry

I an the events co-ordinator for the North East BMW CC, so am happy to cover the NE.

But I think there is only me in Durham & RichW in Yorkshire!!!

We should look into have a CSL Register annual meet for 2009 though. Somewhere central to allow as many members a chance of attending, maybe around a track day?

Mark, what do you think?

I'm in Norfolk but don't mind traveling for a meet of a track day.

It's really hard to organise area meets with the CSL because of how many there are. When I had the Lotus it was very easy, but lots of travelling with the CSL.

More than willing to look at a South Wales to Cornmall meet as I think there may be around 4 or 5 that are in the area, but probably worth looking at one big Summer meet/weekend.....I don't now what but maybe something like the new CSL race meet (if it happens). Just needs to be something that people are willing to travel for.

I would go to a South West one - North Devon/Somerset/Avon would be within range. I'm down in Cornwall again from next summer - the back of beyond!

I'm certainly up for meets elsewhere, especially if I can combine a track day to make the trip even more worthwhile!
