I was more worried about not reaching the Chunnel at all rather than what speed I was going.

Tbh I think I saved about £50 in fuel as I couldn't help but to do 35mpg

Well you do in those situations, I had a prob when I was younger with an old Series 1 RS Turbo, was on the home from Ford Fair at Silverstone and got to Winchester, couldn't go above 50mph all the way back to Bournemouth! lol

At least you could still do around 90mph though mate! Not the end of the world...
