Yeah! Why would a colour make even a £1 difference to the price!?

cost of the paint differs, application methods differ, shorter run ie non standard, heavier postage (don't laugh at that one)

So,
The low price I got from Germany is confirmed. I think people won't like to see a thread (or re-open the locked one) so I guess whoever wants to participate sends me a pm. |

Paint content and the painting processes may differ from standard silver finish. Some metallics have a certain metal flake content i believe and costs vary for such additives. Have a look at the Rays website - you can order their wheels direct from the factory in several different non-standard finishes but this adds considerable cost to the overall price...
Nice one Alex - glad you seem to have secured a good deal at last! I feel PM would be a sensible approach to letting people know about this in light of recent events! At least this supplier is on the Continent and would not affect suppliers here...

OK, had the meeting with ECP and they are horrified at the poor way this has been handled. As a result I have suggested a group buy price for members here and ECP have agreed as a one off due to to the confusion. However this all maybe a little pointless in that the price from the German supplier is nothing like what i can do but I said I'd try and sort something either way.
ECP have agreed to a 20% discount for a group buy, minimum of 5 items (these can be mix and matched). This means a SS lightweight rear box would be £1196.80 plus shipping incl VAT. The full list of SS options is on our site shop: http://www.thorneymotorsport.co.uk/p...sort=2a&page=1 Next time this sort of thing kicks off can I suggest someone just calls me? THis could all have been sorted so much easier and simpler without the recriminations and accusations. |
