Get it bought, glendog has been fine with his.
Of course GlenDog is fine with his Supersprint Race Lightweight back box, as other then that, he's running the standards "Pussy Cat" and O.E. middle pipes, U wind up merchant

Pussy - says the man who is ever so worried about making too much noise! I used to have a "Man Cat" fitted to my CSL if that makes me more socially acceptable to you...

Seriously though, DazBlackCSL runs Supersprint Race Lightweight backbox, Miltek centre pipe, Race 100 cell cats as well as Supersprint lightweight manifold iirc. He has not had any issues to date and he likes taking his CSL to race tracks! It's only Bedford that can on occasion prove to be rather anal. You therefore simply book TDs that have a higher db limit if you really are that concerned and losing sleep over the issue... Now stop making a 'mountain out of a molehill' and make a decision!

Let me know how you get on with prices, we should be able to sort a deal for members. However the last GB fell apart (as they tend to do) sadly.

I've failed @ CC before in my Porker 928 @ 124 dB (must be a record) and had to beg & borrow a standard back box, off a m8's 928. Best part of the morning wasted faffing about swapping back boxes in the car park, only to scrape through the noise levels @ 98 dB and then another few hours wasted swapping everything back to as it was, at the end of a long day. That, in a few words is what all the fuss is about

Matt

I have done most of the tracks last year, always did a standard track day on each race weekend prior to my testing in the race car on the friday.

I was in my road CSL with a FULL system, 100 cell cats (SS) Race Light Back Box (SS) and the rest is Miltek, in fact one piece was off my race car, and at Combe I measured 97, the rest between 95 and 101... still not sure what all the fuss is about, and as the others have said stop worrying about the lightweight one.

The above is FACT and I have NEVER been thrown off any of the circuits last season in my road car

FINALLY ! someone (that U Daz) has answered my question directly. Alleluia These dB numbers U're getting are perfectly acceptable. Daz is Right My worries are over but I just found this on fleebay and it looks suspiciously like the Groupe M back box I've seen somewhere before (the seller says it's custom made but he can't remember by whom) . Any thoughts ???

I'm think that i pretty much answered your question earlier in the thread:

Now you're opening up a whole new debate about a GruppeM type back box which we all know are freakin loud! Make your mind up!
