Was a cold but worthwhile early get up and go morning. Think I saw total 4CSLs, some recognised but not sure whos whos!?
2 reg's I recollect - SG, 191BMW & SB, LB04 which think is jeffers? No evidence on film apart from these which was amusing to watch, so managed to slip me hand out from the pocket into the cold for a wee moment to take a few pics on the iPhone: Not my bag but this really was flawless & showed every sign of it never being driven before today! Worth a snap before heading back. |

I think there were 7 there in total KK - Shimmy, Roly & I were parked in a row in the paddock. Steve (Azrael) was there plus 3 others (1 SB, 2 SG inc the plate you mention) - a good show

Got up some ungodly time to drive around the m25, all if it at either 50mph or at 70mph under the Gatso gantries.
Got to the A3 meet point bang on time to meet Yanto and RolyGtir. They both had lovely shiney detailed cars (well Rolygtir's was a bit smeary tbh) so it was a shame when it started to rain We set off with RolyGtir leading across country to Goodwood although Yanto and I didn't know that RolyGtir had managed to put on his pipe and slippers so we followed a M623CSi all the way there, until it pulled away from us We were nearly first there but were shoved into the covered paddock area. We paid for our £10 breakfast and sat eating it outside freezing our bits off, but at least the rain had stopped and the sun was trying to come out. We bumped into Azrael and then saw another 3 CSLs making it 7 in total (see pics below of the unknown 3) Took a wander up and down the track and although there were a whole load of boring drab cars there, there was also a few stunners, especially some of the really old Mercs and 1970-80 M cars. Trip back up to the M25 after was a bit mire lively, managed to bed in my new diff and other bits. So a few photos below from iPhone. Slightly dodgy E46 M3 with carbon bits More old M cars Nice R8 behind these two heaps!!! Audi RS5 Yanto is a big 993 fan but this porker was older than that Stunning Zonda but had a flat tyre, poor lad and then this goody looked like he was gonna nick some carbon And then we found Lawsy's new track car but no sign of him anywhere. Finally we found the 'belle of the ball' and Yantos favourite, I think if the owner would have been there he would have bought it there and then. Great Audi TT with baseball leather and stitched seats and brown leather steering wheel. True classic.
