Too be honest each to their own.

Yes the cars were built to be driven, however if a collector should choose to keep a low mileage concourse car then so be it. Some people get enjoyment out of driving a car and some get the same buz doing it up and showing it.

The main thing is that everyone enjoys the car no matter what they do with it.

Have to agree with this, just look at the RSOC and some of the MK1 & MK2 Escorts these guys have
I tried it and bought a really low mileage 22b but couldnt resist the need to drive it so sold it on and bought my CSL.

Prerequisite for the CSL was that it had OVER 50K on the clock so it didnt loose to much money with me putting miles on it. At that mileage i recon they have taken the low - high mileage hit on the price tag so it's not me that losses out.

Price in Europe are going up seriously too, When I bought mine in the UK for £38k back in 2006, I paid over the odds as it had 4.5k miles but could have bought a italian can for the same price...... which I should have :b anghead: seing the price in Italy lately:

Horses for courses (and countries). I use the 22B as my track car now and the CSL as my daily
Import tax here is over 1/3 of the 'perceived' value of the car (an unrealistic value set by the government ) so you're better off getting the best car you can for the money because you'll be paying the same inport duty regardless..
