some people like the torque of a big V8 , or a turbo unit ... press the throttle at any revs and away you go , makes overtaking easy & lazy

I like that in my diesel

For others like myself, I prefer an engine that is reletavily peaky and needs to be worked to get the best from it .. my 1973 2.4S is a prime example of this as it doesn't come on cam until 5500 rpm amd then it flys
